Personal Information

General Overview. I was born in Scandinavia in the year 815AD to a barren woman, Narah. Raised as an outcast, the villagers all swore my mother was a völva, a witch. To have borne a son with such megin and without a husband ostersised her from the community and we spent most of our days in the forest rather than among people. Mother told me I was a gift from the gods. That the only man she had laid with in years was a god, perhaps even Odin himself. Mother was full of outlandish tales, but she loved me, maybe even more so because of my abilities. A daily reminder of who sired me. I fought in many wars over the centuries and after a while began to seek some other avenue to fill my need for battle. I developed a private security business and quickly spread branches throughout Scandinavia, Europe and The UK. Nicknames. none

Likes. Sex, Alcohol, and Weed

Dislikes. Classical music, weakness, needy women

Flaws And Weaknesses

Is very sensitive to discussion of mothers and family, especially his own.

Use of his powers completely drains him, leaving him vulnerable and requires several hours of sleep to fully recover.

When heightened emotionally, he has less control of his powers but has gotten better because of his age and use of them, as well as control and calming techniques he has developed.

Skills And Abilities

Immortality. is technically immortal. Immune to the effects of aging, cannot die by any conventional means, and is immune to all known mortal diseases and infections.

Flight. Limited to short distances and tires from it with overuse or further distances.

Telekinesis. Can move objects, such a bottle of bourbon from the bar to his hand, with ease. Moving larger things drains him quickly but has done so in the heat of battle.

Smiting. On rare occasions, can smite someone. Typically when overly emotional and drains him completely into unconsciousness.

Personal Attire

Normal Daily Wear. Two or Three piece Armani suit, typically in dark grey or black with a chartreuse or cornflower blue shirts, paired with a pair of Santoni shoes.

Alternate Wear. Anything from Jeans and a heavy metal band t-shirt to his traditional linen shirt and trousers from the old country.

Magical Artifacts/Weapons

Norse Battle Axe. Cade always has his axe strapped to his back in a holster. The axe is the one that killed his mother on that fateful day.

Ulfberht. Cade has his original sword from his youth, displayed on the wall in his room.

Neither have magical abilities or properties, merely possessions of significance to him.

Introduction Written by Scribe

My birth was an unusual one. Hell, so was my conception, but we’ll visit that shortly. Mother was, by all accounts, barren. She had been married twice but after several attempts to bear a child, her husbands would abandon her for someone else that could give them an heir. It may sound harsh, but it was the way back then. I came into the world as any other barn, kicking and screaming, but my screams were unlike those of normal children. The villagers all swore my mother was a völva, a witch.

As I grew in stature, my abilities grew along with me. By the time I was twelve I was able to lift full size trees and work for hours without needing a break. I could hunt and catch any prey as my senses were heightened and I knew almost instinctively where they were.

Regardless of my status in the village, when it came to a fight, I was still called upon to join. As was my mother, a shieldmaiden in her own right. Which brings us to how I lost her. In the heat of battle there is so much going on you have to stay alert and on top of things. Having such abilities makes it easier, so when she cried out in anguish, I heard her voice above all others. Spotting her blood covered form lying in the snow with the cowardice of a man standing over her, ax in his hand, made my blood boil. I spun in an outrage, my Ulfberht outstretched as I turned. Warriors fell all around me, be it friend or foe, I didn’t care. My heart and world had just crumbled and there was no turning back.

After the loss of my mother and the battle over, I held a traditional funeral for her and sent her off to her final resting place. Soon thereafter, I left the only home I had ever known, and roamed the countryside for years. As the years wore on I joined in many battles and fought in many wars. My reputation soon preceded me and I was called to arms time and time again. Eventually I grew tired of always fighting and decided to begin my career in the field of assassin for hire. It fed my need for action but weighed heavily on my conscious, so I didn’t stay there for long. By the nineteenth century I had found my home in England doing private security. It was lucrative but boring most of the time.

By the twentieth century I established my own firm and had many men working for me when I decided to expand to the states. I began in New York, establishing a branch there when the nagging sensation began. Unable to place the feeling, I began to explore other states and find the source of the pull.
